Our Lancaster based truck service company has an immediate need for a Heavy Truck Mechanic to work with a skilled and dedicated team. Our mechanics are reliable, dependable and conscientious. We foster a hard working family environment where every member supports the team through individual excellence and solid teamwork. We are recognized in the area for our quality and intimate knowledge in heavy trucks.

We're looking for a Heavy Truck Mechanic that can accomplish these goals

  • Trouble shoot and diagnose mechanical faults
  • Properly operate support equipment to avoid damage to equipment and personnel
  • Work with others in a collaborative way; offering assistance when possible and requesting assistance when needed
  • Learn systems and processes needed to complete tasks including administrative functions
  • Competence in welding and fabrication is a plus
  • Arrive at work, on time and ready to take on a task
  • Working knowledge on spring, suspension, drive line and brake systems
  • Working knowledge with front end alignment - Caster, camber and toe adjustments a plus
  • CDL not required, but helpful
  • State inspection license NOT required

  • Driven - Understands that our team's success depends on our ability to win for the customer
  • Humble - Able and willing to ask for help from more skilled colleagues & take advice from the team
  • Confident - Able to work independently and able to work directly with customers at a time when things may be malfunctioning and they are experiencing frustration.
  • Skilled - Experienced in heavy equipment and/or heavy trucks. Knowledgeable on the proper (safe) use of shop tools like presses and welding equipment
  • Experienced - Solid, hands on experience with trucks or heavy equipment. Fabrication or welding experience will help make you a solid team contributor.
  • "A Player" - A Mechanic who has the skills, passion and people smarts to help our team of "A Players" achieve solid results for our customers. Slackers and lone wolves don't fit here.
  • Prepared - Has basic hand tools for hitting the ground running. Has plans to invest in the tools of the trade.
