Job Details Experienced Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy - La Canada Flintridge CA Seasonal None $1500.00 - $1500.00 Salary/year Up to 25% DayDescription High Jump CoachPosition OverviewFlintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA) an all-girls Catholic high school committed to educating young women for a life of faith integrity and truth is seeking an experienced High Jump Coach.We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable leader who can inspire student-athletes promote sportsmanship and elevate a competitive and inclusive Track & Field program rooted in the mission and values of FSHA.Season: January 12 May 16 (through CIF playoffs) 3x per weekCompensation: $1500 stipend for the seasonPrimary ResponsibilitiesPlan and lead high jump training sessions focused on skill development technique strength and conditioningTeach proper high jump mechanics with an emphasis on safety and progressive skill buildingCollaborate with the Track & Field coaching staff to coordinate training schedules and meet preparationAssess athlete progress and provide constructive individualized feedbackSupervise athletes at practices meets and team eventsModel and promote sportsmanship teamwork and a growth mindsetEnsure compliance with school league and state athletic regulationsQualifications Required QualificationsExperience coaching high jump or competing in the event at the high school collegiate or club levelStrong understanding of high jump technique and training principlesAbility to motivate and positively interact with high school athletesCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Fingerprint/background clearance as required by the school/districtTeaching credential not required but coaching certifications are a plusCommitment to Diversity and InclusionDiversity is a vital element of FSHAs mission to educate young women for a life of faith integrity and truth.
