Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWalter L. Cohen College Prep is searching for a High School Math Teacher for the 2022 - 20123 school year. This individual will be expected to provide an educational atmosphere where scholars of various academic levels can develop a strong understanding and appreciation for the subject matter. He/she will create an environment that encourages learning and will explore various academic concepts.ResponsibilitiesDesign classroom instruction using research-based strategiesFrequently analyze results from multiple sources to drive instructionWork with students to remediate gapsMaintain school culture of high behavioral expectationsMaintain frequent communication with student familiesQualifications:Bachelor's Degree (required).Teacher Certification or certification eligible (preferred).Background and/or content related coursework (required).Experience working in urban schools (preferred)Solutions-Oriented: concentrates on finding ways to solve problems and improve systemsWork ethic: possesses a strong willingness to work hard and long hours to get the job doneIntelligence: learns quickly, demonstrates ability to quickly and proficiently absorb new informationTeamwork: Demonstrated ability to work well in a teamBenefits:We offer a competitive compensation package, including generous retirement contributions and comprehensive health benefits. The base salary for this position is $43,500.
