ABOUT STUDY SMART TUTORS: Study Smart Tutors is a college and career access organization that collaborates with partners to promote educational equity access and success by providing a diverse range of tools for students families and educators. We offer an array of college access courses at no cost to our students or their families. We are able to accomplish this by partnering with schools outreach programs and other college and career access organizations to provide efficient and effective college and career access programming and classroom-based test preparation. To learn more about Study Smart Tutors visit us at JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Subjects to be taught: All subjects with focus on ELD Reading Comprehension Credit Recovery and organization.Grades: 9th - 12th grade Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.Tutors will have access to information about class assignmentsAdapt to new materials and teaching strategiesMaintain consistent communication with Study Smart Tutors staffPartner with Study Smart Tutors Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students QUALIFICATIONS: MUST hold a completed 4-year degreeTeaching or tutoring experience is strongly desiredIn-person availability is requiredScheduled hours: Must have flexible availability between Mondays through Fridays for 3 hour sessions. This will take place 2 times a week during school hours.Complete and pass a background check which may include fingerprinting based on location.
