Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Title: High School Social Worker (2025-2026)Match Charter Public School is a free, high-performing charter public school in Boston. We are a PreK-12 school serving up to 1,250 students. Our mission is to prepare studentsparticularly multilingual learners and those who would be the first in their families to earn a college degreefor success in college and careers in order to achieve economic security and mobility. Position: High School Social Worker (2025-2026)Location: Boston, MA (Brighton Campus)Start date: January, 2026 OVERVIEW OF ROLEMatch High School has an opening for a full-time Social Worker who can join the team starting in January, 2026. The Social Worker will collaborate closely with teachers, staff and school leadership to effectively meet the needs of our students and provide direct counseling to a caseload of students. Qualified applicants need to be a LCSW/LICSW, or be eligible for licensure within a year of date of employment. The position is based at Match High School located on 1001 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton. The salary range for full-time social workers new to Match is $67,812-104,899 and is determined by the candidates prior years of full-time social work experience. Match offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes 90% coverage of employee health insurance costs and up to $150/month in loan repayment assistance. We are only able to consider applicants who have current US work authorization.PM20OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Social Worker will:Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based modalitiesConduct safety and risk assessments, referrals, and follow-up during crisesOffer case management and care coordination for students and families Participate in IEP meetings and provide verbal/written progress updates Develop IEP goals and benchmarks; collect and analyze dataCollaborate with teams to determine levels of carePartner with teachers on classroom-based mental health strategiesImplement preventative mental health and wellness programmingMaintain a trauma-sensitive, strengths-based, culturally responsive approachUphold high expectations and provide strong relational supportEngage in coaching and professional developmentSupport school programming during non-instructional timeContribute positively to the Match school community QUALIFICATIONSCompetitive applicants have:Two or more years of school-based social work experience (strongly preferred)Masters degree in Social Work and LCSW/LICSW (or eligibility within one year)Strong interpersonal, communication, and group facilitation skillsExtensive clinical assessment and case management experienceExperience collaborating across multidisciplinary teamsDeep understanding of how race, gender, and culture shape student experiencesDemonstrated cultural competence, empathy, and ability to build trusting relationships with diverse students and familiesStrong knowledge of Boston-area mental health, social service, and community resourcesBelief that all students can succeedCommitment to continuous learning and openness to feedbackABOUT MATCH EDUCATIONMatch Education (www.matcheducation.org) is the shared brand name of Match Charter Public School and The Match School Foundation, Inc.
