With personalized coaching and high-quality professional development we invest in your development so you can make the greatest impact for students.Your Role as an EL Teacher:Planning & InstructionMost co-teach in 4 classes daily with 2 planning periodsPlan and prepare daily lessons and materials in alignment with Valors curriculum and TN State StandardsUtilize school-wide trackers and tech systems to collect enter and analyze students academic and behavioral data dailyEnsure both academic and behavioral gradebooks are maintained with accurate information in accordance with school-wide deadlines and policyActively engage in and prepare for weekly 1:1 coaching and weekly intellectual preparation (IP) meetingsCaseload ManagementCollect and track data on individual student skills to determine the effectiveness of programming and measure progress toward learning goalsEnsure compliance with federal state and district ELL regulationsAdminister and implement accommodations for relevant assessments (e.g. WIDA ACCESS TNReady benchmarks etc)Collaborate and co-teach with general education/core content teachers to ensure the successful implementation of established curriculum and/or individual student plansSchool-Based Duties & Faculty Engagement Enforce uphold and exhibit schools values student management policies and culture systemsOwn an arrival recess or lunch transition or dismissal duty dailyParticipate in school events that occur outside of normal school hours such as parent-teacher conferences signature experiences field trips IEP meetings report card conferences and new student orientation.
