This is a great role for those beginning their histology career or looking to build strong foundational experience.What We OfferAlong with a competitive night shift schedule and a great team environment youll receive access to comprehensive benefits:$30-$41/hr with HT or HTL ASCP certification $28-$32/hr without certficationHealth Dental & Vision InsuranceHealth Savings Account with $500 company matchPTO & Holiday PayCompany-Paid Life Insurance & Long-Term Disability (FT only)Voluntary Short-Term Disability & Additional Life InsuranceAccident Critical Illness Hospital Indemnity & Cancer Guardian Coverage401(k) with Employer Contribution Profit SharingEmployee Discounts & More!What Youll DoAccession and receive tissue specimens.Prepare and process specimens for microscopic examination.Perform grossing and inking activities as allowed under CLIA requirements.Prepare media reagents chemicals and solutions.Conduct tissue processing embedding microtomy/cutting staining cryostat use and freezing.Label and prepare high-quality slides for pathology review.Examine slides microscopically to identify abnormalities reporting deviations with oversight.Identify and troubleshoot issues that may impact diagnostic accuracy.Preserve store log file and track specimens and slides.Maintain and clean instruments equipment and laboratory work areas.Manage supply inventory to support continuous workflow.Complete Agency-required QA/QC documentation accurately and on time.Participate in compliance training and adhere to all regulatory standards.Perform other related duties as assigned.What You BringAssociates Degree requiredCompletion of a NAACLS-accredited histology training program requiredPreferred CLIA qualifications to perform specified job duties:Minimum 60 semester hours including:24 hours in medical lab technology OR24 hours combined across chemistry biology and medical technology (with at least 6 hours each in chemistry and biology)Plus 3 months documented lab training in high-complexity testingPrevious histology technician experience preferredStrong knowledge of anatomy tissue pathology standard lab concepts and proceduresExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigh integrity and confidentiality with sensitive informationProficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software quicklyAbility to collaborate effectively with colleagues and leadershipPhysical RequirementsAbility to communicate effectively in a dynamic laboratory settingAbility to operate lab and office equipmentAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods during the workdayIf youre ready to grow your skills and be part of a laboratory team dedicated to quality and excellence apply today to join Lighthouse Lab Services premier reference lab client!About Us:At Lighthouse Lab Services we offer solutions to help start grow and run clinical laboratories.
