description:Under general supervision of the Histology/Cytology Manager or General Lab Management Wellstar Health System Laboratory and direct supervision of the Histotechnology Supervisor or Lab Manager the Histologic Technologist is responsible for the complete preparation of all routine surgicals autopsy tissues including frozen section sendout procedures processing cutting staining and coverslipping. Also performs cytology preparation histochemistry immunohistochemistry (Antibody optimizing and validation) and have general knowledge of techniques principles instrumentation and troubleshooting abilities.
