Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Histotechnician located in Clearwater, FL. The Histotechnician will be responsible for preparing and processing tissue samples for microscopic analysis. Daily tasks include performing routine and specialized histologic procedures, maintaining laboratory equipment, adhering to quality control standards, and collaborating with pathologists and laboratory team members. The individual will ensure that all work complies with established laboratory protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Histology and Pathology techniques
• Strong Laboratory Skills and knowledge of Quality Control procedures
• Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
• Licensed for work as an HT or HTL in the state of Florida.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Experience in handling laboratory equipment and supplies
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in medical technology, biology, or a related field is preferred
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards
