Direct Care Worker

The Direct Care Worker (DCW) provides compassionate, hands-on support to clients in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, promote comfort and safety, and support clients' independence while following an individualized care plan. Home Health Aides or Personal Care Aides are also welcome to apply.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Assist clients with personal care and hygiene (bathing, grooming, toileting)
2. Support activities of daily living (ADLs), including meals, feeding, mobility, turning, and positioning
3. Promote comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being
4. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
5. Follow standard safety and infection-control precautions
6. Provide companionship and respite support for families
7. Document care provided accurately and submit records on time
8. Protect client confidentiality and follow all agency policies
9. Work collaboratively with families and the care team
10. Perform other duties as assigned

1. Maintain a professional, respectful, and positive attitude
2. Communicate clearly and courteously with clients, families, and staff
3. Demonstrate empathy, teamwork, and commitment to quality care

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation)

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of related client care experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Hoyer lifts and incontinence care is required.

Licensure & Screening

• Valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation
• Satisfactory employment references
• Successful criminal background check

• Wednesday & Thursday | 7:00 pm - 7:00 am | King of Prussia, PA
• Monday & Tuesday | 6:00 am - 3:00 pm | King of Prussia, PA
