Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLooking for outgoing well rounded individuals who are experienced in either Locating or Drilling. Candidates should have at least 1-3 years experience and a CDL is a plus.Directional Driller/Locator ResponsibilitiesOperate Horizontal Directional DrillAssist in potholing and remediationAssist with setting hand holes and completing tie insDrive equipment to job siteConfirms with locator/lead the bore path to drillSet equipment up including the drill, water tanks and grounding the machineDrill out following the predetermined drill path to the exit pitCommunicate with the locator/lead via radio to confirm the location of the drill headAssist with the install of proper pulling gear and hook up productReverse process to install productOversee laborers and/or crew member’s work and monitor time usageConduct post-job quality checksClean, check fluid levels and conduct a visual inspection of vehicle/equipment to assure your vehicle/equipment is performing at optimum safety, perform the required pre-trip, post trip inspections and the required paperwork, perform needed maintenance including winterizing equipment.Communicates with Supervisor daily to turn in required paperwork (i.e. Dailies labor hours, F and D tickets, vehicle maintenance reports, etc.)Follows specifications for the job and company policiesComplies with safety procedures while driving and at job siteStrive for optimal production while working safely and performing quality workAt end of work day, truck and equipment should be returned to shop and securedQualifications: 1 to 3 years demonstrated Horizontal Directional Drilling experienceStrong knowledge of underground utilitiesFamiliar with Ditch Witch equipmentKnowledge of underground pot holing is a plusWorking knowledge of DOT regulations (Vehicle and Operator Qualifications)Understanding of client and company work specificationsAbility to comply with the “Operator’s Manual” for your particular equipmentSelf-motivated, safety, quality and production mindedAbility to read and comprehend and follow all quality/safety policies and proceduresMaintain valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A, with airbrake endorsement and tanker endorsement)Willing to travel
