JOB DESCRIPTION
Chagrin Valley Gig is a community-based provider investing millions to build fiber-optic networks to our Chagrin Valley region residents. We are currently looking for a full-time Horizontal Directional Drill Operator (HDD) to work in the Chagrin Valley region in Ohio. This position offers an hourly range of $28-$32, based on experience and the benefits shown below. Candidates with a valid Class A CDL license & are authorized to work in the US will be prioritized during the interview process. As all of this work is on-site in Ohio, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US.

Horizontal Directional Drill Operator Responsibilities: (Included, but not limited to)
Operating HDD rigs (Vermeer)
Providing training and assistance to coworkers
Ensuring adherence to safety standards (Operational & Industry standards)
Performing maintenance on equipment (Fluid levels)
Working in various ground conditions (rock, clay, sand, cobble, etc)
Operating excavation equipment
Includes routine labor (potholing, equipment setup, conduit, duct, cable placement, set pedestals)
Possess experience operating a utility locator
Assures all located utilities that are in the construction path have been potholed
Follow job blueprints provided by manager
Ensure cleanliness of job sites
Requires collaboration with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
Ensure accountability of all tools and materials
Qualifications/Requirements for the Horizontal Directional Drill Operator:
Must have valid driver's license - Class A CDL
Must be able to pass drug and background screening
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Work efficiently and complete work in a timely manner
Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers, homeowners, and customers
Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable
Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday
Compensation details: 28-32 Hourly Wage
