Working under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with terminal illnesses and supporting their families during difficult times. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with activities of daily living ensure their comfort and provide emotional support to both patients and their loved ones.RequirementsMINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS1. Current and Unrestricted Washington state Certified Nursing assistant (CNA)2. Licensed in the State of Washington as a Certified Nursing Assistant.3. Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent collaboration with team members.4. Effective verbal and written communication.5. Ability to stand frequently walk bend and lift up to 50lbs.6. Comfortable with exposure to various home environments and conditions including potential allergens and pets.7. Ability to lift and move patients as needed following proper body mechanics and safety protocols.8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.9. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to independently drive within Tri-Cities Chaplaincys service areas to provide in-home patient and family services and support in clients homes facilities and community locations.10. Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Safety (BLS)11. Washington State Food Worker Card issued by the Department of Health.12. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State.Per Diem Minimum Requirements1. Available to work two (2) shifts per month2. Available to work evenings nights weekends and holidays.3. Screenings: Pass criminal background and drug screenings.8. Physical Demands: Meet the physical and environmental requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.(see attached physical requirements)9. Training and Orientation: Complete agency and departmental orientation and required training programs.10. Continuing Education: Complete ongoing education policy reviews and training be designated deadlines.11. Licensure and Certification: Maintain current licensure(s) and certifications(s) required for the role.12. Language Proficiency: Read write speak and understand English fluently.13.
