You'll be a constant presence in your hospitals, advancing culture, engagement, efficiency, growth, and financial health by finding ways to say yes to your VEGgies—equipping them with the tools, support, education, and autonomy they need to thrive. Using the VEG framework to guide your decisions, you'll ensure your hospital performs at the highest level, while fostering an inclusive workplace where VEGgies feel they belong, take pride in their roles, and invite friends to join. You'll also build collaborative, mutually rewarding partnerships with referring vets and local businesses, making VEG the go-to for emergency pet care in your community.WHAT YOU'LL DOActively recruit, hire, onboard and continuously develop the right people for VEG and your hospitalEnsure your hospital delivers a mind-blowing experience for patients, customers, and VEGgies at your hospitalEnsure your hospital is compliant, well-maintained, and operationally soundDrive performance at your hospital, making it a high-revenue, high-margin business that challenges the status quo and achieves financial targetsHelp grow VEG's reputation locally and throughout the industry, online, and in the mediaWHAT YOU NEEDLeadership experience, including overseeing and scheduling teams of 50+, recruiting, training, facilitating developmental meetings, performance management, and building effective teamsFinancial management experience, including full P&L oversight consisting of budgeting, payroll, and accounts receivableOperations management experience, including inventory and facility managementA desire to be coached and develop personallyWhen on the floor, you're consistently available, accessible, and approachable; this is not a remote positionMust be willing to work in a noisy environment with strong or unpleasant odorsAvailability to work nights, weekends and holidays on a rotating or as needed basis based on hospital needsWork well in a fast-paced environment with people from all backgrounds and different personality typesWHO YOU AREEmpathetic, instinctively taking a people-centric approach, whether supporting your colleagues or making an effort to understand different perspectivesHave a sense of humility; acknowledging mistakes, sharing credit with others, and lifting up your team's' accomplishmentsFeel a strong sense of ownership over your work, taking responsibility for outcomes and staying committed to achieving long-term, impactful results Curious by nature; you ask insightful questions and continuously seek out opportunities to learn and grow your skills and knowledgeHOW WE INVEST IN YOUCompetitive compensation, including base and 401K matchComprehensive health and wellness benefits that start on day one, including QPR training and access to free therapy or counselingBased on your role, you may be eligible for equity after one year of full time, active employment with VEG, so you can share in our growth and successA BIG focus on learning and growth, from VEG-created clinical and leadership programs to unlimited ER CE + travel stipend (no really!).
