Position Description:The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking candidates at the Assistant or Associate Professor level for our Section of Hospital Medicine in the Division of General Internal Medicine. Our faculty work at Froedtert Hospital a 500-bed regional referral center in Milwaukee WI. As a hospitalist nocturnist the duties will be in the role of the nighttime admitting medical officer (NAMO) or weekend daytime admitting medical officerwhich will include personally performing initial medicine workups covering urgent issues for inpatient teams supervising residents performing urgent consultations or procedures and supervising and evaluating as necessary challenging resident admissions or cases. Faculty have the opportunity to participate in a variety of scholarly projects. Structured mentoring in medical education quality improvement and research is readily available through the section of hospital medicine.Application review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.All interactions will remain confidential and no inquiries will be made without the consent of the applicant.
