In Sheridan, we are able to offer a wide variety of amenities for our residents while maintaining small-town identities.About the Opportunity:The ACOS of Medicine Services is a practicing physician who is responsible for defining the mission, vision, and strategic goals of the Medicine Service Line which includes a large array of care services delivered in multiple departments including Inpatient Medicine (10 beds), Express Care, Specialty Care, Telehealth, Cardio-Pulmonary, and Employee Occupational Health. The ACOS is responsible for operational oversight of the entire Medicine Service Line.The ACOS is responsible for developing the scope of practice for employees assigned, designing plans of care, and assuring implementation of quality improvement measures along with developing action plans to meet performance measures. The ACOS designates service priorities and objectives, supervises programs, and evaluates the performance of subordinate staff. The ACOS makes independent, professional decisions and recommendations with infrequent recourse to supervisory guidance. The ACOS serves as the liaison to other Service Lines, facilities, VISN offices, VHA Central Office, other government agencies, and the community. The ACOS is responsible for advising management of specific clinical or administrative issues within the Medicine Service Line and within the Medical Center. The ACOS serves as a consultant and advisor to subordinates, peers, and administration.
