Express Employment Group is partnering with a highly respected law firm to identify a Conflicts Attorney to support a national Conflicts and Intake function. This role plays a critical part in the firm's risk management and new business intake processes, working closely with firm leadership, partners, and counsel across multiple offices.The Conflicts Attorney will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing conflict check reports related to both client intake and lateral hiring, identifying potential legal and business conflicts, and supporting their resolution in accordance with firm policies and ethical standards.Hiring in PA, DC, NY, CA, DE, NJ, FL, IL, MA, MD, MN Key Responsibilities Review and analyze conflict check reports related to new client matters and business intakeIdentify potential legal and business conflicts of interest and provide clear, practical guidance to partners and firm leadershipDraft conflict waivers and manage waiver requests as neededReview conflict reports related to lateral hires and advise recruiting teams, partners, and incoming attorneys on conflict mattersImplement and maintain ethical walls and other screening mechanismsProvide guidance and oversight to non-attorney conflict specialists, including best practices for corporate family researchAssist with drafting and editing engagement letters and related intake documentationRespond to inquiries from attorneys and professional staff regarding conflicts, intake procedures, and firm policiesSupport special projects and initiatives as assignedRemain available for urgent matters, including occasional evenings and weekends Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in good standing1-6 years of experience as a Conflicts Attorney within a corporate or large law firm environmentExperience with Intapp strongly preferredExperience with Aderant is a plus Skills & Competencies Strong database research and analytical skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadlinesStrong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive informationAbility to supervise and provide guidance to support staff, as needed Additional Information This role may require availability outside standard business hours for time-sensitive mattersAdditional duties may be assigned based on business needsJob responsibilities may evolve over timePandoLogic.
