We are looking for honest dependable individuals with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to join our team.BenefitsHealth dental and vision insurance (full-time employees)Paid Time Off (full-time and part-timeemployees)401K plan with company match(full-time and part-timeemployees)Hotel discounts (full-time and part-time employees)Paid holidays (full-time employees)Early access to earned wagesResponsibilitiesThe Housemans primary duty is providing assistance to the housekeeping staff.As a Houseman you would be responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated areas of the hotel and responding to guest requests in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.Assist room attendants by delivering linens towels amenities and supplies.Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate with the front desk and housekeeping team.Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Clean designated areas including but not limited to restrooms public areas offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms.Perform tasks including but not limited to dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures vacuuming mopping sweeping shampooing carpets washing windows cleaning/waxing floors removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays.Greet guests in a friendly manner.Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair.Stock and maintain supply rooms as needed.Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects.Follow companys safety and security policies and procedures.Perform other job related tasks and duties required by supervisors.QualificationsPrevious housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not requiredAbility to lift push and pull up to 40-50lbsAbility to stand walk and bend for extended periodsStrong attention to detail and time management skillPositive attitude and ability to work well with a teamFlexible availability including weekends and holidaysWork EnvironmentFast-paced hospitality settingRequires physical work including lifting moving equipment and handling cleaning materials.SMI Hotel Group recruits the best and brightest in order to deliver the highest quality service to our guests.
