Our culture is people-focused data-driven and results-oriented.Summary:We are looking for a Housekeeping Manager to lead the team at the TownePlace Suites Franklin Cool Springs.The Housekeeping Manager will supervise and coordinate the activities of room attendants house attendants public area cleaners and floor supervisors. They are responsible for managing and directing the day-to-day operations of all housekeeping and laundry functions. The Housekeeping Manager participates in and enforces quality assurance for the Housekeeping Department and department cost control measures.Duties & Responsibilities:Have an eye for detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests other departments and housekeeping staffObtain a list of vacant rooms to be cleaned immediately and a list of prospective checkouts or discharges to prepare work assignments for staffAssign team members their duties and inspect their work for quality assurancePrepare and distribute the room assignment sheet and floor keysMaintain clear and efficient communication and coordination with the front office and other departments of the hotelSchedule the cleaning of the room carpets upholstery and draperies as needed along with deep cleaning projects and window cleanings as neededSchedule cleaning for lobby area public restrooms telephone areas hallways entrances and elevatorsSchedule periodic major cleaning projects including carpet shampooing walls and baseboards and elevator doors and tracksSchedule cleaning of all meeting rooms after a completed functionComplete the inventory for cleaning supplies and linenInvestigate concerns regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action.Lead the housekeeping team in training coaching counseling and enforce the hotels standard operating proceduresEnsure guest rooms are properly secured and that proper key control procedures are utilized by the housekeeping staffAdvise desk clerk of rooms ready for occupancyReward employees who use their empowerment to meet or exceed guest expectationsPrint all housekeeping related reports and traces from the Property Management SystemAssist in controlling expenses by the housekeeping departmentConfirm all housekeeping staff members have arrived or find substitutes for absent employeesRequirementsQualifications:High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the housekeeping or related professional areaOR2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management Hospitality Business Administration or related major; No work experienceBenefits:Competitive salaryAnnual review with increase potential401k program with company matchAdditional benefits may be availableArbors Guiding Principles:Arbor Lodging focuses on Five Guiding Principles to foster a culture where growth development and progression thrive within the properties:Do the Right Thing - Operate and act with integrity in all you do even when it is not convenient.Lead with Heart - Be kind passionate and hospitable.Be Accountable - Take ownership and deliver results.Aim Higher - Go above and beyond to exceed expectations and pursue thoughtful change.Celebrate Differences - Embrace diversity; respect individual opinions and ideas.Arbor Lodging Management provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race color religion sex national origin age disability or addition to federal law requirements Arbor Lodging Management complies with applicable state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment in every location in which the company has facilities.Required Experience:Manager Key Skills Hotel Experience,Taleo,Hospitality Experience,Environmental Services,Laundry,Cleaning Experience,Housekeeping Management,OSHA,Sanitation,Team Management,Leadership Experience,Supervising Experience Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
