HR Generalist Analyst
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant supports the full staffing of the ARAMARK GM-WTC site staffing footprint with capable, committed personnel. This entails working closely with ARAMARK Corporate HR teams in the creating WTC specific job standards and initiating a comprehensive process to find, screen, hire and mobilize the workforce. The HRA maintains records of compliance with ARAMARK's corporate policies and standards to administer employee compensation, programs and benefits, including (paid time-off, leaves, health care and disability insurance, 401k, etc.), workman's compensation claims, etc. The HRA tracks compliance with HIPAA confidentiality requirements. The HRA ensures full compliance with instructional training standards, curricula, resources, media and material, and maintains records of employees' participation. Actively manages and is solely responsible for the attendance of all required training for ARAMARK and GM associates under the contract. The HRA makes recommendations for additions/revisions to the training curriculum and continually seeks methods to enhance training delivery, including coordination with internal and external resources to schedule/revise courses in a timely manner. Works closely with Facility Director, Sr Operations Managers, Facility Managers, Safety Coordinator and other team members to develop a highly effective work team The HRA assists in preparing scheduled reports to confirm non-discrimination in hiring and managing employees, and performance metrics with respect to workforce composition, attendance, skills profiles, education, compensation and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve Safety, Quality, Cost, Responsiveness, People and Environment (SQCRPE).
Job Responsibilities
- Know and uphold ARAMARK's policies, procedures and Service Agreement with GM-WTC to allow customers and tenants to focus on their core business.
- Take ownership of campus wide facilities, infrastructure and grounds, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility performance, operating effectiveness and cost efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of job descriptions; post and cancel notices of job openings in various media, and administer all procedures and standard documents, notices and records associated with the hiring, administering employment and terminating employees.
- Assist in the coordination of the hiring process to identify, evaluate, select, hire and orient new employees and transfers to their responsibilities for implementing ARAMARK's service agreement with GM-WTC.
- Aggressively manage the training program for the on-site ARAMARK and GM UAW skilled trades and sub-contractors. Engage GM-WTC or contracted resources to schedule, conduct and document participation in required training.
- Ensure the accurate time keeping of hourly resources.
- Assist the HRM in administering the process, scheduling and documentation of periodic performance reviews, promotion, transfer, remedial counseling, progressive discipline, layoff and termination, in accordance with contract requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
- Prepare and distribute publications and media and stage events to enhance employees quality of work life.
- Assist in preparing scheduled internal, client and external reporting on human resources issues and compliance with policies, standards, regulations and laws.
- Assist the HRM in tracking KPIs and developing process improvements, systems upgrades and initiatives to improve employee performance and quality of work life, minimizing turnover and advancing careers within ARAMARK.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or related discipline.
- Participation in recognized professional bodies preferred (Human Resource Certification Institute or Professional in Human Resources)
- Coursework indicating advanced professional development.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as Human Resources or assistant in large facilities, maintenance, construction or manufacturing organization.
- Administrative experience related to human resources management for facility operations management, including budgeting, regulatory compliance, recruiting and hiring, training, labor relations, etc.
