The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Grand Rapids seeking experienced HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for manufacturing and production roles. Administer HR policies procedures and ensure compliance with labor laws and safety regulations. Conduct employee relations investigations mediate disputes and manage disciplinary actions. Support performance management processes including reviews and development plans for plant personnel. Facilitate mandatory safety training and other compliance-related training programs. Maintain accurate HR records and manage HRIS data for the manufacturing workforce. Assist with compensation and benefits administration and employee inquiries. Collaborate with operations management on workforce planning and talent development initiatives. Recommended Qualifications 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience with a significant portion in a manufacturing or industrial environment. In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws (e.g. FLSA FMLA ADA EEO) and HR-related OSHA requirements. Demonstrated expertise in employee relations conflict resolution and conducting thorough investigations. Proven ability to recruit and onboard talent for diverse manufacturing roles including production maintenance and skilled trades. Proficiency with HRIS platforms and standard HR software applications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of the organization.
