This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and leaders and plays an important role in supporting Premier Marine's Culture, workforce needs, and operational goals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Employee Relations & Leadership SupportServe as a trusted HR resource for employees, leads, supervisors, and managersProvide guidance on attendance, PTO, corrective action, performance management, and workplace conductAssist leaders with employee coaching, documentation, and disciplinary actions Participate in investigations related to employee concerns, policy violations, and workplace issuesSupport conflict resolution and promote a respectful, inclusive work environmentRecruitment & OnboardingConduct or support new hire orientation and onboarding Support hourly and salaried recruiting effortsCoordinate interviews, offers, and pre-employment processesPartner with leaders to ensure smooth transitions for new employeesOwns relationships with staffing agenciesHR Operations & AdministrationAdminister HRIS transactions including new hires, terminations, job changes, PTO, and leave tracking Support payroll-related audits for timekeeping and attendanceRun weekly timecard reports for staffing agencies Maintain accurate employee files and HR recordsAssist with benefits administration and employee questionsCompliance & Policy Administration Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (including ESST, FMLA, ADA, and wage & hour laws)Support consistent application of company policies and handbook guidelines Assist with policy updates and communication to employees and leadersSupport audits and reporting as requiredTraining & DevelopmentAssist with training initiatives for supervisors and employeesSupport performance review processes and documentation Help reinforce company values, safety expectations, and culture initiativesCulture & EngagementSupport employee engagement activities and communication initiativesParticipate in company events and recognition effortsPromote Premier Marines, Core values of Integrity, Excellence, Attitude, and CollaborationQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environmentWorking knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesStrong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment PreferredHR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR)Experience with HRIS, time & labor systems, and payroll coordination Paylocity knowledge a plusExperience supporting hourly production workforces Physical & Work EnvironmentRegular presence on the production floor requiredAbility to walk, stand, and navigate manufacturing areasOffice and plant environment with varying noise levelsKey CompetenciesEmployee advocacy and business partnershipClear, confident communication Organization and attention to detail Conflict resolution and coaching Adaptability in a fast-paced environmentPremier Marine offers a comprehensive total rewards package designed to support employees' health, well-being, and growth.
