By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs from CAD models and blueprints.Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and quality requirements.Operate CMM machinery to execute inspection programs and collect precise measurement data.Analyze measurement results, identify non-conformances, and generate comprehensive inspection reports.Perform first-article inspections (FAI) and in-process quality checks using CMM programs.Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs and measurement processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Maintain and manage a library of CMM programs and associated documentation.Recommended QualificationsMinimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience programming CMMs in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency with CMM programming software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or MCOSMOS.Expert-level understanding and application of GD&T principles and blueprint reading.Ability to interpret and work with 2D and 3D CAD models for inspection program development.Demonstrated experience in developing, validating, and optimizing CMM inspection programs.Bonus QualificationsAdvanced GD&T application and interpretation skillsExperience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysisProficiency in CAD software for design review and fixture conceptualizationExperience with multi-sensor metrology systems (e.g., vision, laser scanning)Job Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, Metrology Engineer, CMM Technician, Dimensional Metrologist, Quality Inspector CMM, Inspection Programmer, Quality Assurance Metrology TechnicianWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
