The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and analysis and provide financial planning leadership across all functions of the company. This role will partner closely with the engineering manufacturing test launch and administrative team leaders to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making.ResponsibilitiesLead the budgeting process maintain a current cash forecast and ownership of the long-term financial planProvide actionable insights to leadership regarding financial performance including quantifying financial risks and opportunitiesPartner with Program Managers to develop and maintain program budgets regularly monitor cost/schedule variance and evaluate changesCreate high-quality financial presentations for executives investors and the Board of Directors that synthesize program performance operational results and strategic initiativesBuild and maintain financial tools that enhance transparency across programs and operations including creation of custom reports to assist program managers understand their financial performanceProvide decision support for pricing proposals investment cases and make-vs-buy analysesDrive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial forecasting systemsEvaluate existing financial reporting tools and assist with implementation of new financial systems as the company scalesProactively identify areas for process improvement and implement changes as appropriateQualifications5-10 years of professional finance experience and a bachelors degree in finance accounting business engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong knowledge of cost accounting program finance and FP&A processesAdvanced Excel and financial modeling skillsExperience administrating automated reporting and visualization tools including creation of custom dashboardsExcellent communication skills with an ability to convey complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a capacity to identify issues and implement effective solutionsSelf-starter with demonstrated history of ownership and accountabilityStrategic thinker who can convert data into actionable business insightsFP&A experience working in the aerospace & defense or manufacturing industries preferredTeam player with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detailProven ability to multi-task prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentBenefitsEquity We know that our employees are the reason we succeed.
