Job DescriptionJob DescriptionECOLE BILINGUE DE LA NOUVELLE-ORLÉANS, founded in 1998, provides a private, friendly and language-enriched environment for every student. We are Louisiana’s first and only private French school accredited by the French government and the State of Louisiana providing multilingual education for 18-month-old students through the 8th grade. Since the formation of our elementary school, it has been the mission of Ecole Bilingue to provide a strong and distinctive bilingual education for children in New Orleans by combining the best of French and American academics.Job Description:We are currently seeking French speaking substitute teachers to join our team at Ecole Bilingue, specifically in the preschool through kindergarten levels. The ideal candidate should have a passion for early childhood education, a strong command of the French language, and the ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment.Responsibilities:Provide instruction and support to students in French immersion preschool through kindergarten classes.Follow lesson plans and educational activities provided by the regular classroom teacher.Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages language development and exploration.Engage students in interactive learning experiences that align with the school's curriculum.Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful environment.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (or pursuing a degree).Proficiency in FrenchExperience working with young children in an educational setting.Flexibility and adaptability to different classroom environments.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Desired Qualities:Familiarity with French immersion teaching methods.Creative and energetic approach to teaching and engaging with young learners.Ability to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for students.How to Apply:If you are excited about contributing to the language development and education of young children in a French immersion setting, we invite you to apply.
