Human Resource Generalist

SUMMARY The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, benefits administration, performance management, and policy implementation. This role supports daily HR operations and partners with leadership to drive organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding Extensive experience administering employee benefits programs, including enrollments, qualifying life events, vendor coordination, employee education, and benefits compliance Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files in compliance with company policies, federal regulations, and record retention requirements. Assist managers in handling employee relations concerns through coaching and guidance, ensuring consistent and compliant outcomes Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (i.e., FLSA, EEOC, ADA) Assist with investigations, documentation, and resolution of employee concerns Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures Assist generating HR reports and metrics when needed Participate in special HR projects and initiatives as needed QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3-7+ years of progressive HR experience Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices Proficiency in HRIS systems, Teams and Microsoft 365 Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or government contracting environment beneficial Familiarity with compliance requirements for federal contractors (e.g., AAP, VETS-4212) beneficial ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility, including production areas Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and electronically Ability to lift and carry up to 10-20 pounds (e.g., files, onboarding materials, boxes of supplies) Ability to bend, reach, and perform routine office tasks Ability to travel between buildings or locations as needed Ability to maintain focus and perform detailed work for extended periods WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The manufacturing and office work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
