Title: Human Resources Analyst IIEmployee Classification:Institution:System OfficeDepartment: Human ResourcesCampus Location: Tennessee Board of Regents System OfficeJob SummaryThe Analyst II Human Resources is responsible for ensuring all personnel and benefits administration is provided in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable institutional TBR State and Federal regulations policies and guidelines. The Analyst II Human Resources executes and audits complex human resources transactions utilizing sophisticated technology to provide professional services. The Analyst II Human Resources works closely with the System Office and the institutions of the TBR System and is expected to provide a high level of customer service to all institutions served.This position may have the opportunity to work remotely within the state of Tennessee but with periodic visits to the TBR System Office (Nashville TN) at the employees expense and potential travel to Tennessee TBR colleges may be necessary.Job Duties35% - Compensation and Compliance Reviews and prepares approval forms for system-wide salary changes appointments and this capacity also serves as the primary liaison between the system office TBR presidents and equity officers compiling necessary reports. Collects manages and analyzes HR information to help streamline processes and make data-driven decisions and recommendations. - (Essential)35% - Benefits 35% Serves as the primary Agency Benefits Coordinator for the System Office. Acts as liaison between human resources and payroll to ensure that benefits records are completed for payroll processing. Reviews benefit forms for accuracy and benefits eligibility. Reviews and processes FMLA forms ADA Accommodation requests and disability claims. Maintains accurate employee information in Edison. Assists with data entry and maintenance within the HRIS system. Manages the institutions performance management process and ensures performance reviews are completed. - (Essential)20% - Customer Service Communicates to employees and administration regarding benefits processing related issues. Fields employee questions and researches benefits processing concerns. Works cooperatively and effectively with other departments. Provides consultative services to institutions based on functional area expertise in support of human resources related best practice implementation. Provides back-up and cross training with Assistant Director of Human Resources and Payroll and Human Resources Associate. - (Essential)5% - Reporting Prepares institutional Federal State and TBR required reporting as well as ad hoc reports Prepares quarterly reports for the Tennessee Board of Regents - (Essential)5% - Other Duties Performs additional duties as assigned - (Marginal)Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree and a minimum of 3 years of related human resources work OR a comparable combination of education and experience. Experience with Edison or similar ERP system. Experience in Windows operating system and Microsoft applications. Experience working in compensation and/or classification and benefits.Preferred Qualifications Experience working in human resources in a college university or state government setting Experience within a shared services operating environment Experience with Banner or similar ERP system Experience with applicant tracking systems and other HRIS Ability to conduct fact finding interviewsKnowledge Skills and Abilities Knowledge of human resources terminology and practices Demonstrated knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and guidelines A willingness and passion to learn new hardware and software systems that are consistent with duties Ability to effectively analyze data and inquiries think critically and make appropriate decisions Effective organizational and time management skills Ability to work as part of a team or work alone without close supervision Strong interpersonal skills Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally Ability to understand customer needs and provide quality service Ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance rules and regulations including HIPAA and FERPA guidelines on the disclosure of information Working knowledge of affirmative action and equal opportunity principles and practicePhysical Demands / Working ConditionsRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Invoicing,Facilities Management,HVAC,AIX,Air Pressure Handling,AX Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
