Human Resources Assistant
We are a dynamic, multi-industry organization seeking a dedicated HR Assistant to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role involves providing crucial HR administrative support, ensuring compliance, managing onboarding documentation, and performing data entry. The ideal candidate will work closely with HR leadership to maintain smooth daily operations, contributing to a fast-paced and organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and organized employee files, both digital and physical.
- Assist in onboarding new hires by ensuring all documentation is completed and processed promptly.
- Send and track compliance-related notices and assist HR leadership with general administrative tasks.
- Ensure internal HR updates and documentation are completed within specified timelines.
- Perform data entry across internal systems, including Smartsheets and ERP platforms.
- Assist with accounts payable-related administrative work, such as tracking purchase orders for subcontractor requisitions.
- Generate basic reports from systems as needed, with light Excel or Excel-like work.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency across multiple internal systems.
Essential Skills:
- Prior experience in an administrative, HR assistant, or operations support role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working in systems-driven environments, including ERP, Smartsheets, and Excel-like tools.
- High attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Willingness to take ownership of administrative processes and follow through.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- HR administrative experience.
- Exposure to onboarding, compliance, or personnel record management.
- Experience supporting multiple departments or functions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or roles involving extensive data entry.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time, onsite role with working hours from approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The work environment is fast-paced yet collaborative and supportive, offering the opportunity to work directly with leadership in a structured and organized setting.
Job Type & Location:
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cranbury, NJ.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.44/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
