Human Resources Assistant
The Human Resources Assistant plays a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, with a primary focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, and HR operations. This position serves as a central point of contact for candidates, recruiters, employees, and managers, ensuring a seamless hiring experience and efficient HR support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining accurate employee data, supporting compliance initiatives, and delivering exceptional customer service. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on business needs and performance.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruiting activities and maintain candidate records within SAP/SuccessFactors and applicant tracking systems.
- Schedule interviews and facilitate communication between candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
- Prepare, distribute, and track offer letters while supporting background check and pre-employment screening processes through OrangeTree.
- Assist with new hire onboarding and ensure completion of required employment documentation and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee records and generate HR reports and metrics, including headcount, turnover, and other workforce data.
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers by responding to HR-related questions and assisting with system access and functionality within UKG and other HR platforms.
- Process employee documentation and support unemployment claims, employment verifications, and general HR inquiries.
- Support HR programs, employee engagement initiatives, meetings, and events while assisting with daily administrative functions.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 13 years of administrative, human resources, recruiting coordination, or related experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with HRIS, ATS, or talent management systems.
- Familiarity with UKG, SAP/SuccessFactors, and HR reporting/analytics.
- Exposure to recruiting, onboarding, or employee relations processes.
Work Environment
This role is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work is performed using HR technologies such as SAP/SuccessFactors, UKG, HRIS platforms, and standard office productivity tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The environment is structured yet supportive, offering a long-term opportunity with potential for future headcount additions and career growth within the HR function. Professional office attire is expected to align with the corporate setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Hilliard, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
