JOB DESCRIPTION

The HRBP is a strategic HR position responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added insights and advice to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization and maintains an effective level of business literacy about the organization's plans, its culture, and its competition.


  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues in compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance and advice (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Provides guidance and input on organization unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for organization units and participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field. Requires at least 8 years of human resources experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Demonstrated experience keeping complex records, to assemble and organize data and to prepare reports from such data.
  • Demonstrated experience translating technical content for cross-functional audiences and presents to small stakeholder groups.
  • Thorough experience performing administrative and management duties with minimal direction from a supervisor.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), or other equivalent HR professional certification.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other desktop applications as necessary.
  • Must pass a controlled substance (drug) test for employment.

  • Ability to work at a desk operating a computer for up to 8 hours a day
  • Ability to lift, carry or move items up to 20 lbs., move around the office, and travel to different employer locations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment with tact and congeniality.
  • Ability to meet in-office work requirements.


Compensation details: 19.9 Yearly Salary
