Human Resources Generalist

Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Director of Human Resources
Reports To: Director of Human Resources
Position will be a support function for IMMEC's sister company, Helton Services.
Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is primarily responsible for payroll processing, timekeeping administration, benefits coordination, and employee onboarding and offboarding. This role also assists with other human resources functions as needed, supporting efficient HR operations and compliance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process and administer payroll accurately and on schedule to include certified payroll
- OCIP/CCIP enrollments and reporting
- Manage employee timekeeping systems, including time entry review, corrections, and audits
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, employee inquiries and required filings
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll, timekeeping, and benefits questions
- Coordinate employee onboarding, including offer letters, system access, orientations, and benefits enrollment
- Manage employee offboarding processes, including final pay coordination, benefits continuation, and exit documentation
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, payroll regulations, and benefits requirements
- Assist with applicant tracking system and recruiting efforts
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS/payroll systems
- Assist with employee relations issues
- Assist with employee performance evaluations
- All other duties as assigned
Additional HR Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting activities, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
- Assist with employee relations matters and respond to general HR inquiries
- Support compliance tracking, reporting, and audits
- Assist with performance management and training initiatives
- Participate in HR projects and process improvement efforts
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, or HR administration
- Working knowledge of payroll processes, timekeeping systems, and benefits administration
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and discretion
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
- Experience with Paycor
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent)
Compensation details: 70000-80000
