Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist position is an integral member of the Human Resources team and will, at the assigned location(s), support and coordinate the day-to-day functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including, but not limited to, recruiting and interviewing staff, coordinating new hire processes relating to onboarding, pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

- Performs routine tasks required to facilitate and support human resource functions or programs at the assigned site(s), including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Correctly identify issues that merit escalation to appropriate personnel.
- Facilitates new hire orientation, employee feedback and employee recognition programs.
- Facilitates benefits enrollment processes.
- Manage employee files and maintain accurate HR documentation and paperwork.
- Supports employee recognition, satisfaction and rewards programs.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Understand and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of company events, including meetings, celebrations, and employee recognition activities.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance employee experience and participation.
- Support leaders with guidance on company policies, procedures, and day-to-day HR-related matters.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Acquire or maintain professional human resources certification(s), SHRM-CP or equivalent.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field preferred, or 2-5 years of directly applicable experience in a similar role.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred to support a diverse workforce.
- SHRM-CP (or equivalent professional certification) a plus.
- Satisfactory completion of additional background and drug screening.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, the organization's HRIS and talent management systems. Familiarity with WorkforceGo is highly desirable.
