Responsible for equipment, material and subcontractor buyouts Work with Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure bids are accurate Responsible for getting all bids submitted within required deadlines Maintain a working knowledge of HVAC and construction standards Read, understand and use provided plans and specifications to determine accurately estimated cost of jobs Use company estimating tools to provide consistent estimates HVAC PRECONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS The Preconstruction Estimator will read all plans and specifications of jobs prior to bidding job and will create accurate cost estimates. Must be able to negotiate pricing with vendors Must be able to correctly bid jobs which come in at estimated costs REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering preferred paired with a minimum of 3 to 5 years estimating large Commercial HVAC jobs. Familiar with State Building Codes, OSHPD, ASHRAE standards required. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Interested in hearing more?
