Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Installation Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, replacing, and commissioning residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, venting, refrigerant lines, and associated components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, installation manuals, job specifications, and technical drawings.
- Perform equipment setup, startup, commissioning, and operational testing to ensure proper system performance.
- Install and connect refrigerant piping, perform leak testing, and assist with system charging.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs as required.
- Diagnose installation-related issues and implement effective solutions in the field.
- Complete accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and job-site activities.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and assigned vehicle in a safe and professional condition.
- Collaborate with dispatchers, project managers, and team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Support service and maintenance operations as needed.
QualificationsRequired
- HVAC installation or service experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Knowledge of HVAC installation procedures, troubleshooting, and system startup.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and electrical safety practices.
- Working knowledge of plumbing-related HVAC components, including condensate drains and gas piping.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment weighing 50 lbs or more, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred
- EPA Type II Certification.
- HVAC trade school education, apprenticeship completion, or equivalent technical training.
- Experience with residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems.
