Job Description

We are a fast-growing HVAC company seeking a Licensed HVAC Contractor (C-20) to serve as the Responsible Managing Employee (RME) for our California operations. This role is ideal for an experienced technician, supervisor, or former contractor who wants to take a leadership position without equity or personal financial liability (no SBA guarantee required). Key Responsibilities Serve as the qualifying individual for our C-20 license Oversee and supervise HVAC work in compliance with CSLB regulations Provide field expertise and technical guidance as needed Participate in project reviews, permitting, and code compliance Help train and mentor technicians (optional) Qualifications Valid and active C-20 HVAC contractor license in California Not currently qualifying another active business (or willing to disassociate) Able to commit to 32+ hours/week (CSLB full-time RME requirement) Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems (residential or commercial) Clean driving record and ability to pass background check What We Offer Competitive base salary depending on experience Performance bonuses or project incentives No ownership required - no SBA personal guarantee Full benefits package (available after probation) Stable work environment with long-term opportunity Option to grow into operations or training leadership roles Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $60,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: Yes
