Erie Institute of Technology (EIT) is looking for a seasoned HVAC/R professional to transition from the field into the classroom. What You'll Do Hands-On Instruction: Lead students through practical labs involving residential and commercial heating, AC, and refrigeration systems. Mentorship: Act as a "Lead Tech" for your students, teaching them not just the _how_, but the _why_ of complex troubleshooting. Curriculum Delivery: Use your real-world stories to make theory (thermodynamics, electricity, and controls) come alive in the classroom. Safety Leadership: Instill a "safety-first" culture that prepares students for professional standards. What We're Looking For Experience: Minimum of 4 years of documented HVAC/R field experience (Residential, Commercial, or Industrial). Certifications: EPA Section 608 Universal and A2L certifications are preferred. Mentoring Mindset: You don't need a teaching degree, but you must have experience training apprentices, leading a crew, or acting as a designated trainer in your current company.
