This role serves as a primary resource for HVAC-R systems ensuring reliable operation of refrigeration steam distribution and condensation pumping systems. The technician performs preventative maintenance log activity and parts in the maintenance tracking system.Required QualificationsHigh School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)HVAC I - two years prior successful work experience In building trades or completion of post-secondary education in Mechanical HVACHVAC II - three years prior successful work experience in HVAC; or completion of post-secondary education in Mechanical HVAC plus one year experienceLead HVAC - four years prior successful work experience in HVAC; or completion of post-secondary education in Mechanical HVAC plus two years experienceExperience in Electrical controls troubleshooting using manufacturers schematics.Certifications Registrations and/or Licenses:Must obtain an EPA Universal Technician Certification card within one year of hire.Have and maintain after hire a valid drivers license. Certified EPA Refrigeration Usage Card within a year of hireSkills Proficiencies and/or Knowledge:Controls motors and electrical schematic reading.Refrigeration repairs.Steam/condensate systems.Knowledge of refrigerants and use of refrigerant regulations. Knowledge of HVAC-R systems.Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs.Preferred QualificationsVocational/TechnicalHeating Ventilation Air Conditioning Refrigeration.
