Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverviewThe HVAC Sales Representative plays a key role in driving the growth and profitability of our service business. This role is focused on building new customer relationships, selling renewable maintenance agreements, and positioning our company as the trusted partner of choice in the Columbus market.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, target, and qualify new customer prospects through disciplined sales processes, networking, and market awarenessSchedule and conduct sales appointments with prospective clientsBuild and maintain a referral network to expand market reachConduct needs-based sales calls with facility leaders to identify HVAC and controls challengesPropose tailored solutions that emphasize renewable maintenance agreements, digital service offerings, sustainability, and decarbonizationPresent, finalize, and secure customer agreements while ensuring smooth onboarding and kick-off meetingsMaintain and extend service agreements, creating pull-through opportunities and supporting the collections processCollaborate with management and service teams to deliver exceptional customer experienceDevelop and execute territory-specific marketing plans aligned with company strategyTrack and report sales progress using CRM tools (e.g., BuildOps)Qualifications2–3 years of progressive sales experience (HVAC or plumbing service sales preferred)Strong knowledge of building HVAC systemsProven ability to sell service and maintenance solutionsExcellent presentation and communication skills for both individuals and groupsExposure to sales methodologies and structured sales processesHigh attention to detail with technical aptitudeValid driver’s license and ability to work in a field-based, multi-site environmentBehavioral & Technical SkillsStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesSolid math skills (rate, ratio, percentage, graphs)Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple tasks effectivelyMental stamina for fast-paced, field-based sales workWork Environment & Physical DemandsDaily work in a field environment, visiting multiple customer sitesFrequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crawlingRegular lifting/moving of up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbsVision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
