Sheet Metal Mechanic

Location: Titusville, FL 32870

Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, M-F

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

Proman Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic for a project in Titusville, FL. This role involves installing and fabricating HVAC sheet metal duct systems in a commercial or industrial setting. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and secure HVAC ductwork and sheet metal systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Measure, cut, bend, and fabricate sheet metal components
• Ensure proper alignment, sealing, and insulation of duct systems
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and code compliance
• Follow all job site safety standards and procedures
• Coordinate with team members, helpers, and supervisors

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of sheet metal or HVAC installation experience (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of duct installation and fabrication
• Ability to read blueprints and layout work independently
• Proficient with sheet metal tools and equipment
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a background check and obtain site badging
• U.S. Citizenship Required: This position supports a U.S. government contract and requires applicants to be U.S. citizens.
• Reliable transportation to and from the job site

Work Environment:

• Active construction site (indoor/outdoor conditions)
• May require standing, bending, climbing, and lifting throughout the shift
• Strict adherence to safety protocols
