HVAC Tech/Journeyman at CARE-Property Services, Inc.

*Job Summary*CARE-Property Services, Inc is seeking a skilled and highly trained *HVAC Journeyman* to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential and/or commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have completed an apprenticeship program, possess a valid Journeyman license, and be capable of working independently or leading a team of apprentices to ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local codes and regulations.*Essential Duties and Responsibilities** *Installation:* Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, electrical wiring, thermostats, and main units, following blueprints, design specifications, and building codes.* *Maintenance:* Perform routine and preventive maintenance on existing HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency, including cleaning, adjusting components, and checking fluid levels.* *Repair & Troubleshooting:* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters, pressure gauges) and perform efficient repairs.* *Refrigerant Handling:* Safely perform refrigerant recovery, recycling, and charging procedures in compliance with EPA regulations.* *Documentation:* Maintain accurate daily logs, work orders, and records of services performed and materials used.* *Customer Service:* Communicate effectively and professionally with clients to explain issues, services performed and provide maintenance guidelines.* *Safety & Compliance:* Adhere strictly to company safety policies and OSHA regulations, always maintaining a safe work environment.* *Leadership:* Provide technical support, direction, and on-the-job training to apprentices and less skilled technicians.*Qualifications and Requirements** *License/Certification:* Valid state-issued HVAC Journeyman license is preferred.* *Experience:* Five (5) years of commercial and/or industrial HVAC mechanical troubleshooting and service experience.* *Education:* High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; completion of an accredited HVAC apprenticeship program is preferred.* *Technical Skills:* Deep understanding of HVAC systems, components, refrigeration theory, and the ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.* *Physical Stamina:* Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs. frequently), work in confined spaces or on rooftops, and withstand varying weather and temperature extremes.* *Communication:* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a professional demeanor.* *Logistics:* A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.* *Background Check:* Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.*Learn more about C.A.R.E. at www.CallCareFirst.com*Job Type: Full-timePay: $28.00 - $37.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Professional development assistance* Referral program* Vision insurancePeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyExperience:* HVAC: 4 years (Required)Work Location: In person
