This is an opportunity to use your expertise to support a fast-growing district and ensure comfortable safe learning environments for students and staff.What Youll BringHigh School diploma or equivalentMaster HVAC License (required)67 years of hands-on experienceBasic plumbing knowledge preferred (not required)What Youll DoAs a key member of our Facilities & Operations team you will:HVAC Air Handling & VentilationMaintain and repair exhaust fans (bearings belts grease etc.)Service and repair air handling unitsincluding bearings belts motors pulleys and springsClean coils pans and drains and repair/replace dampers motors and sealsUse Metasys (building automation system) to check temps airflow damper operations and troubleshoot issuesPumps Motors & Mechanical SystemsMaintain and repair all pumps and motors: rebuild units replace components grease bearings and install sealsDiagnose problems across all HVAC systems identify required parts source pricing order and pick up parts when neededChange filters in all air-handling equipmentCooling Heating & Water SystemsMaintain A/C equipment including coil cleaning controls refrigerant and diagnosticsMaintain closed-loop systems (chilled and heating water) including chemical managementManage water treatment for condenser systemsadjust chemicals maintain chemical pumps and injectors test water and order suppliesService cooling towers (cleaning bearings belts couplings etc.)Clean and maintain all pump strainersBoilers & Building SystemsMaintain and repair boilers controls pumps flues drain lines and pipingDiagnose boiler issues and complete necessary repairsCoordination & OperationsWork directly with outside contractors to schedule and support repairsUse our work order system to track and manage daily tasksUse Metasys to identify system issues and respond to emergency needsWhy Youll Love Working HereIPERS retirement planDistrict-paid Health & Dental Insurance (employee only; dependents available at added cost)Generous leave package: vacation personal sick family sick and bereavementWork wellness programWork shoe reimbursement (up to $175 depending on position)District-provided work vehicle and toolsHiring RequirementsFinal candidates will complete a pre-employment drug screen motor vehicle check and background check as part of the Waukee Community School District hiring process.Required Experience:IC Key Skills Commercial Property Paralegal,Foreclosure Paralegal,Freelance,Apache Tomcat,Fire Fighting Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
