Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: Hydrology & Hydraulics EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Hydrology & Hydraulics Engineer who is passionate about stormwater management and drainage design for transportation projects across the U.S. This role provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, floodplain mapping, and stormwater permitting.ResponsibilitiesDesign storm drainage systems and stormwater management plans.Analyze Best Management Practices (BMPs) and conduct stream restoration.Conduct floodplain studies and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling using tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and TR-55.Prepare detailed stormwater plans for complex sites.Understand construction processes related to permitting and surveying.Essential SkillsProficiency in TR-55 and HEC-RAS.Experience in drainage and stormwater permitting.Familiarity with ArcGIS and Civil 3D.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.EIT or PE preferred.At least 2 years of experience in hydrology/hydraulics design.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with modeling river systems, floodplain delineation, culvert/bridge hydraulics, and erosion control.Knowledge of FEMA requirements.Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or ArcGIS.Work EnvironmentThe position is based in an office environment, working collaboratively with a team of engineers and field personnel.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $105000.00/yr.GPI offers excellent benefits, including a 401(k) plan, ESOP, medical/dental/vision plans, paid time off, and more.
