The Institute for Economic Development is a research center within the Department of Economics focused on issues like development economics international economics and political economy. It provides research and career support to economics graduate students. The IED coordinator works closely with the IED manager and faculty director in support of the center as well as the department. This includes supporting various events and opportunities processing reimbursements managing internal grant applications and providing administrative support for faculty members. Furthermore the IED coordinator serves as the departments primary marketing and communications administrator who creates maintains and updates departmental media such as websites social media accounts and newsletters.
