ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (DUTIES) OF THE JOB:*Responsibilities for Internal Candidates JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Correctly wand onto the shop floor data system for laborRead and follow appropriate product criteria, AIs, and elementsFollow all safety precautions as spelled out in the Activity InstructionPre-finish Core InspectionVisually inspect cores for unacceptable defects per the product criteria or AI such as cracks, chips, excess parting lines, negatives, crazing, and positivesPrepare tie bar machine according to AI (if applicable)Cut tie bar (CTB) per product criteria (if applicable)Prepare CTB machine for blending using proper equipment (if applicable)Blend tie bar (if applicable)Correctly perform Post-Fire CNC OperationCheck slot width with go/no go pins if required by product criteria (gauge cores) or if excessive finish is performedUse ceramic patch material as allowed by the product criteria, to repair cracks, chips, negatives, and crazing. Remove excess patch using brush or sandpaperCommunicate with pre fire operators any current quality issuesCore fill slots with liquid wax per product criteria and other core prep work as called out on the product criteria such as adding standoffsCorrectly locate core on fixture (if applicable) - Assembly AreaCorrectly wand lot travelers and scrap after each trayUtilize Pace System (E-Aussie)Work with Leadership on Problem SolvingUnderstand use of the HCS 'Help Chain" Maintain clean work areaObserve safety policies and regulationsMaintain high attendance record Perform other duties as directed by Area Leadership *Qualifications for Internal Candidates EDUCATION: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent (GED)Ability to read and comprehend written instructions in the English languageEXPERIENCE: Consistent and stable work history Manufacturing / Factory experience preferred but not requiredQuality Assurance experience preferred but not requiredPHYSICAL DEMANDS/EQUIPMENT USED: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds consistently SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environmentBasic computer skills are requiredHigh degree of manual dexterity Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
