Performs varied and additional administrative tasks in support of all purchasing requirements and responsibilities.Ideal Candidate:Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring SponsorshipMust be available to workon-site dailyin Hobart IndianaAcollaborative team playerwho thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Strongattention to detail problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellentcommunication skills for cross-functional collaboration and reportingSalary Range: $55000-$80000Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Evaluates material requirements and determines best sourcing strategyPlaces purchase orders and follows up with confirmations and deliveriesResponds to emergency requirements from various departments including Logistics Accounting and OperationsEnsures return material authorizations are completed with vendors on timeWorks effectively with vendors and co-workers to maintain good relationshipsInvestigates and expands vendor base as appropriateQualificationsEducation and Experience Requirements:Associate Degree or equivalent experience; Bachelors degree preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience as buyer preferably for an industrial equipment manufacturerKnowledge Skills and Abilities Requirements:Knowledge of vendor relationship managementBasic knowledge of negotiation tactics with a large base of suppliersComputer skills including MS OfficeExperience using MRP/ERP systemExcellent organization skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsTeam orientationSelf-motivated and detail-orientedAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities and multi-task on a daily basisDesire and ability to understand surroundings as well as upstream and downstream operations.Ability to read write speak and understand the English languageWhy Youll Love Working With Us!We take care of our team from day one literally!
