JOB DESCRIPTION
Architect the future generations of imaging and camera module hardware systems across Google's hardware portfolio.Drive the introduction of novel imaging hardware technologies from concept to production.Own the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of advanced imaging hardware systems to achieve imaging performance.Develop end-to-end imaging hardware simulation models to correlate hardware specifications with perceived photo and video quality.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.4 years of experience in the design and development of imaging systems and camera modules.4 years of experience working in an imaging and camera module development technical environment.Preferred qualifications:Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP).Experience with the testing, calibration, and validation of imaging systems for high-volume consumer electronics.Expertise in system-level co-design (imaging hardware, ISP, algorithms) and co-optimization for performance, power, and manufacturability.Excellent leadership skills with experience managing projects and driving cross-functional teams to deliver on a product roadmap.The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
