Our radiologists & imaging specialists are board certified by the American Board of Radiology in their respective subspecialties. Our subspecialized imaging physicians American College of Radiology certified technologists and customer-service oriented staff provide our patients with brand-new imaging technologies and innovative treatment options in a compassionate environment.Cedars-Sinai has been recognized ten years in a row on the Best Hospitals Honor Roll by U.S. News & World Report!Summary of Essential Duties:The Command Center Specialist (CCS) is responsible for all aspects of processing inpatient Imaging orders and coordinating patient flow.This work area operates 24/7 and is the departments Command Center.Coordinates multiple inpatient procedures with a focus on CT scans X-ray and Fluoroscopic exams.Schedules modifies reschedules and cancels anesthesia requests and coordinates inter/intra department to assist with patient flow.Dispatches Transportation staff and coordinates radiologist-assisted procedures and those requiring speech therapists.Monitors incoming orders and the Inpatient worklist throughout the day for new orders makes calls to nursing floors regarding exam time estimates and provides exam-specific information.Dispatches the portable technologists and keeps them informed of new portable requests verifies inpatient orders and obtains exam specific lab results.Assists the technologists in maintaining the RIS open orders using PACS as a checkpoint.Taking incoming calls; triaging screening and forwarding calls to appropriate areas.After hours staff identify department-wide STAT requests and notify the appropriate on-call staff.The schedule for this position will be Monday - Friday 1:00pm - 9:30pm.Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or GED required2 years of college Associates or Bachelors degree preferredExperience:A minimum of 2 years of experience required in a fast-paced and complex environment where critical thinking skills are necessaryPrevious experience in a medical environment is desirableKnowledge of medical terminology preferredMinimum Salary27.63Maximum Salary42.83Required Experience:IC Key Skills Anti Money Laundering,Access Control,Content Development,Flex,AC Maintenance,Application Programming Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
