JOB DESCRIPTION
General Production Worker
A manufacturing company specializing in premium labels is seeking a dedicated General Production Helper/Assistant for their rewinding department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of label production processes.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.
- Achieve and maintain all defined job objectives related to planning and execution of jobs and quick changes.
- Assist in external make-ready operations in preparation for changeover activities.
- Perform external clean-up activities following changeovers.
- Clean ink pans and ancillary equipment.
- Strip plates from cylinders and locate dies to and from the press.
- Work with press operators to view labels using strobe light assistance.
- Adhere to quality assurance specifications.
- Complete quality assurance documentation when required.
- Ensure machinery cleanliness and workspace organization.
- Be prepared to work overtime as needed.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Ability to read and understand job tickets.
- Proficient in reading a ruler and understanding measurements.
- Vision correctable to 20/20 and ability to differentiate colors.
- Data input skills in a computer.
- Capability to work in a team with a sense of urgency.
- Self-motivated and focused.
- Physical stamina to stand and move for long periods.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Print shop experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Assertive and solution-focused mindset.

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing site with over 150 employees, where loud machinery is present. Required attire includes a hair net, beard net if applicable, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, and a back safety belt. Jewelry is not permitted. The work schedule includes swing and night shifts, with specific hours and compensation detailed as follows: Swing Shift: 1 PM - 9:30 PM, Monday to Friday; Night Shift: 9 PM - 5:30 AM, Sunday to Thursday. The facility is committed to safety and employee well-being.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.90 - $20.65/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
