JOB DESCRIPTION
Hiring - Process Technician / Machine Operators- Kearny Mesa, California - $18/$19.50 an hour
We are looking for skilled Process Technicians to join our team. You will be responsible for setting up and operating basic process or production equipment and performing troubleshooting tasks. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with small parts, often using a microscope for 20-40% of your day. You will need good hand dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and document the operation of machines in a production environment, maintaining the flow of production parts, reporting inconsistencies, and suggesting improvements.
- Troubleshoot complex or troublesome equipment, potentially working with the facilities team or outside vendors for repair or modification.
- Run engineering tests as prescribed by an engineer and perform periodic calibration checks.
- Recommend process improvements based on test and process results and experience, including troubleshooting machine setup.
- Visually inspect parts at required steps in the process to ensure they are within specified tolerances, manage reject parts, and train operators and inspectors to improve efficiency.
- Maintain and order tools according to safety and vendor recommendations, using measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, CMM, and other optical tools.
- Participate in the 5S program.
- Enter data accurately into Excel spreadsheets and create graphs, with experience in basic CNC and CMM being helpful.
- Comply with applicable policy requirements, ISO 9000, and ITAR regulations.
- Setup/program production or test machinery as needed.
- Read specifications and mechanical drawings.
- Assign and check work of lower-level technicians and operators, and occasionally perform the duties of an operator or material handler.
Essential Skills
- Experience in process operation, set-up, and troubleshooting of automated process equipment.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment, particularly in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Proficient in using a microscope for inspection and quality control.
- Familiarity with production processes and troubleshooting techniques.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of prior manufacturing experience.
- Must be a US Person for ITAR requirements, with proof of citizenship in hand.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
