JOB DESCRIPTION

Winder/Kitter, Treater Operator, Lay Up & Press Operator

As a Winder/Kitter, you will operate equipment to produce graphite or fiberglass unidirectional prepreg (skins), and then cut these skins into 0/90 oriented kits of material. These kits serve as face sheet plies for honeycomb sandwich panels.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery to produce unidirectional prepreg skins.
  • Cut skins into 0/90 oriented kits for honeycomb sandwich panels.
  • Follow production work orders to formulate each product.
  • Complete each step of the work order and perform in-process quality checks.
  • Report to the Winder Production Supervisor.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently.

Essential Skills:

  • 2+ years of relevant, steady work history preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Good basic math skills.
  • Legible handwriting and printing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities.

Work Environment:

Work in a clean manufacturing facility. Choose between weekend night shifts from Friday to Sunday/Monday (4pm-4am) or weekday shifts from Tuesday to Thursday/Monday (4am-4pm).

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Newport, WA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
